How Do You Build A Highly Responsive Email List That Will Make You Money Every Time You Send Out A Promotion?

“The Gold Is In Your Email List.”

You’ve probably heard so many Internet marketing gurus repeat these actual words over and over again, and for good reasons too. It is well known that most of your sales would come after the 5th contact or so. But before you send that many follow-up messages to any contact, you’d have to capture their contact details first.

This is accomplished through an opt-in form on a squeeze page. A squeeze page, basically, is a system that would allow you to capture the name and email address of your visitors. The way it works is that your visitors would be offered the choice to leave their details in return for a free gift, so that you could follow up on them later on.

A Squeeze Page Is Essential For Your Online Business.

For starters, as discussed above, most of your sales won’t come after the first contact. Your prospects should be given time to warm up to your promotion. You’d need to be able to contact them over and over again, to assure them of your credibility and to make them believe that your offer would be truly beneficial for their needs.

Also, they may not be interested in your current offer, but this shouldn’t be taken to mean that they wouldn’t be interested with what you might offer in the future. Having your very own, highly targeted list of email subscribers would allow you to contact them with future offers.

There Is No Doubt That A Highly Responsive List Of Email Subscribers Would Be Vital For Your Online Success.

But the question is: how do you build a highly responsive email list that will make you money every time you send out a promotion?

I will not sugarcoat my answer here. A lot of Internet marketers struggle to acquire email subscribers for their lists. While they may have been marketing online for a few years now, their email lists are made-up of only a handful of subscribers.

If we were to assume that the average conversion rate of your email list would be between 1% and 3.5% and you only have 10, 15 or so subscribers, you wouldn’t expect to see much of a return for your efforts.

So again, how do you build a highly responsive email list that will make you money every time you send out a promotion? How will you be able to acquire thousands of subscribers in the least amount of time?

The Secret (If You Could Call It That) Is Simple:

INCENTIVIZE

Your visitors should be given an incentive to sign up to your email list. You simply cannot expect them to give you their name and email address without getting something in return, right? Put yourself in their shoes, would you bother filling out your name and email address on a squeeze page if you weren’t getting anything of value in return?

One of the mistakes that most Internet marketers make is that they believe people will sign up with the simple promise of further updates. Not much of an incentive here. People require a bit more than that, something worthwhile, something that is worth at least their consideration. If you can provide them with such value, you’d be able to boost your email list building efforts exceedingly fast.

Here Are Some Tried And Tested Incentive Ideas That Really Work:

  • Informational newsletters or ezines. Information is always a valuable commodity on the Internet. Committing to compile and deliver regular ezine or newsletter publications, jam-packed with quality information that is of great use and entertainment, one can expect more sign-ups and quickly build trust.

  • Quality freebies. Everyone loves something for free and high quality freebies are even harder to resist. The freebies you offer can be in the form of an eBook, a unique report, a Private Label Rights product, a piece of software that solves a common problem or some kind of digital download, which your prospects can download in exchange for their name and email address.

  • Subscriber contest. You could hold a contest where a lucky subscriber could win a free copy of your digital product as a prize. This can be very useful to help build a large subscriber base in a short space of time.

Adopting any of the suggestions above is sure to gain the attention of your readers and therefore boost your email list. Remember, it is crucial that you live up to your promise, give your subscribers what they expected and more.

Once your visitors have joined your email list you can offer them additional, unadvertised incentives to make them want to stay. By giving them an extra bonus or two upon sign-up, plus by letting them know you will be sending them more great gifts from time to time, you are sure to build yourself a highly responsive email list that will make you money every time you send out a promotion.
